What is the difference between nintendo wii PAL and NTSC?
I want to get a nintendo wii console but the man at the shop asked me whether i wanted PAL or NTSC ... I have no idea which is better and what the difference is.
If i get the Wii Sport it will be PAL
If i get the console alone it will be PAL and NTSC
Help me please!
PAL, NTSC & SECAM are the analog TV standards that are used worldwide.
NTSC is used in North America & Japan.
PAL is used in Western Europe
SECAM is used in the Middle East
When given a choice (which is extremely rare in the marketplace), you'll want to select the format that works with your TV & region where you live. It's important that your game, Wii & TV are running on the same standard OR major problems can occur from major video problems or simply stuff not working at all.
There's really no quality difference between the analog formats, but it's one way content was regionally locked.
If you have a Digital TV (running on the ATSC in the US), the analog formats become less critical, but you still want to go with the format that's the standard for you.
