Whenever gaming is discussed, no one can ignore Sony because it is Sony on which all gamers pin their expectations due to the fact that Sony always brings new concepts in games which are real fun. Moreover, the games brought by Sony are innovative and the characters in them are even more wonderful. This is the reason that people never get disappointment with any new launch by Sony. Be it a gaming console or some new games, Sony always come up to the expectations of the gamers in the world. All gamers set their eyes on every new launch of Sony and rumors and discussions start surfacing when Sony announces some launch.
The best part of Sony’s launches is that they fully know what people want. They know what type of gaming experience gamers aspire to have. They know what characters in games would give gamers a variety in gamers. In fact, Sony fully knows how to get people out of mundane games at any time.
Sony Sega games need no introduction. It would not be wrong to say that no game series ever became so much popular that Sega games. The reason was simple; these Sega games were interesting and real entertainment. If discussion is going on Sega games, then one of the best and the most popular Sega game called Sonic The Hedgehog can not be ignored. As a matter of fact, it was this game that changed the gaming experience altogether. There was nothing remained that this game had not. Beautiful graphics, entertaining game play and wonderful gaming character made this game an epic. This game became so popular that there was a time when a single day was considered incomplete without playing Sonic Hedgehog for an hour or so. In fact, a niche remained in a day without playing this game.
Sony had previously Alex Kidd as their mascot. In fact, this mascot was good but gamers had become fed up with this character. They wanted something new so that they experience an innovation in the gaming experience. This is how Sony felt they had to change the character now. So the character of Alex Kidd was replaced with wonderful Sonic The Hedgehog. Moreover, there were very rivals in the market and Sony had to compete with them for their survival. This was possible only if they kept on providing people with new variations in the characters. Sonic The Hedgehog was not developed in short period of time. As Sony was producing a new design which could serve them as their mascot, so they had to bring out something remarkable which could cause a boom in the gaming market. This is the reason that Sony has to reject various initial designs for Sonic The Hedgehog. Some designers thought that a dog should be the new mascot while some thought armadillo to be the best next mascot but finally Sonic The Hedgehog was chosen to be a new mascot.
More concentration was given on the appearance of Sonic The Hedgehog because gaming is all about entertainment which could give relaxation to the gamers. So all the things involved in the gaming must be ample and Sonic Hedgehog was perfect for giving maximum eye candy. This is how Sonic The Hedgehog developed and attracted people towards it.
