Shaun White And The Double Mctwist 1260
American snowboarder Shaun White once again stands at the pinnacle of the snowboarding world after successfully defending his Olympic gold medal in the Men's Halfpipe. The 23 year old has conquered everything in his path to not only win a second gold medal, but to do it in style with an amazing new trick that has left fans speechless.

Shaun White's early life gave no clues to the tremendous athletic success that he was going to enjoy as an adult. He was born with a congenital heart defect that required two open heart surgeries before he was even a year old. That didn't stop Shaun, however, and he went on to learn to ski, enjoying the snow in both Vermont and Southern California as a youngster.
The Winter Olympics
Though already known to the snowboarding world, Shaun became a star to the wider public in the 2006 Winter Olympics in Torino (also known as Turin), Italy. The 19 year old's spectacular gold medal winning performance catapulted him on to magazine covers, as well as providing him with lucrative endorsement deals. A star was born.

Shaun White came into the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, Canada, as the overwhelming favorite to win a second gold medal. He didn't disappoint his fans. He was able to lock up the medal with a fantastic run in the first round of the finals, and none of the other competitors were able to best his score. He really didn't have to do a second run, but did it anyway, and put on a spectacular show.
The Double McTwist 1260
The highlight on the Men's Halfpipe occurred during Shaun White's second run in the finals, with his performance of a highly anticipated new trick, the Double McTwist 1260. It consists of a forward rotation three and a half twists with a front flip, but words don't really do it justice. You have to see it to believe it.
