General: For a couple week of testing, I heavily used it for several tasks as transferring data, playing movies, storing files, etc. I did not have any bad issues with it. All of my files were not lost or crashed therefore I was very impressed with its reliability.

Speed: I transferred a lot of information from my computer to the Toshiba 320 GB hard drive several times in order to test its speed. I found that it had an average Data Transfer rate of 34.0 MB/s for both reading and writing. I can say that this is the best transfer speed that you can get from a USB 2.0 drive.

Compatibility: I tested it with several computers on both Window-based computers and Mac computers, and I did not have any problems about a compatibility issue. It worked perfectly with Window-based computers and Mac computers.

Drive Format: From the manufacture, the unit initially came with FAT32, which affected its performance. You need to reformat it to NTFS in order to see increasing in performance. However, this issue is not a big problem because you take only few minutes to reformat the hard drive.

Software: I found that the software that came with the unit was not good because it kept asking me to back up data all time. It is nice that the program asked you to back up but this software does too much. It annoyed me instead of helping me. However, you can delete it from the drive.
