Influenced by the tired needs of the customers, the vedio game market is performing lowly. Under this situation, the first publish day of "Mordern Warfare 2" is a hot spot. According to Evan Wilson, industry analyst of Pacific Crest Secrurities, the sales volume of "Modern Warfare 2" was more than that he had expected. He estimated that, debut sales of the game in the whole world reached 6.5 million. Modern Warfare 2 is developed by Infinity Ward, and distributed by Blizzard. Wilson believes that the prediction of the sales in the overall holidays based on the sales of its' first day will probably be inaccurate because "modern warfare 2" is Video Game which is able to sell well in any kind of economic environment.
Wedbush Morgan, the securities trader, estimates that the first part of "modern war" is sold 600 million sets in the first quarter after listing. "Modern War 2" is its sequel. In the face of grim holiday shopping season, retailers have been in a highly competitive in the distribution rights of this game. The "Modern Warfare 2", the Russian extremists want to bring to the world the Holocaust; it is the latest one since the series game "Call of Duty" was first introduced in 2003.
At the first stage, the game sets the background during the World War II. But in the Call of Duty 4:Modern Warfare, the developers set the background to the modern times. This change was welcome by the gamers, and now many people are still playing the game. The part of charm for the game is that, game players could act for different characters during the game, just like a real fight from many respective, for instance, acting as a US or British army to fight with enemies with lots of modern weapons.
