If you're thinking about exactly what the kids are going to be wanting this Christmas, the Lego Batman game is still a hit. Children love Lego so the fact they can mix their favorite toy with their number one superhero is really a recipe for success. This Lego game can be purchased in numerous versions suitable for a Nintendo Wii, DS or Playstation so be certain to buy the correct one subject to the equipment you have.
So what is the Batman Lego game all about? No matter the medium used i.e. Wii, DS or Playstation, the basics are identical. The game is set in Gotham City in which Batman and Robin are struggling to return the villains to the asylum. They have to fight through the sea, land and air in a variety of Batmobiles like the stealthy Batwing. It's important to construct certain items and solve various puzzles to obtain special powers etc. You don't have to be knowledgeable on the Batman story either. This specific Video Game, as opposed to Lego Star Wars or Lego Indiana Jones isn't going to stick to the movie script.
Every single level needs to be completed twice, once in story mode and once in free play mode. In story mode, you get to unlock several characters that you then use to play in the free play mode. As soon as you are in free play you get to work out puzzles and gather additional bonuses. It's also possible to build vehicles and weaponry to use to fight your opponents. The figures have particular techniques and there are several factors of the game so you or your children wouldn't become bored playing. Young children may struggle a little with the actions although with a bit of help they will be fine. Most will love that contrary to various other Wii console games you won't need to begin anew any time you die but merely drop coins.
Whilst we like to think children love the goodies, it is fair to say that they like playing the baddies equally as much or even more. With this video game it is possible to play from each side i.e. they might be Batman or Robin or some might prefer to be one of many bad guys such as Joker, Catwoman or Penguin.
The Lego Batman game could be played either by yourself or with other people for added fun. If you get cornered on a level and just can't find your way out there are plenty of videos on YouTube with answers. It's exciting attempting to work out the puzzles yourself however sometimes it gets a bit annoying. Naturally if you want to cheat your way through the Lego Batman game you'll find plenty of clues to help you to do this but that actually wrecks the fun of this wonderful game.
