Mike O'Brien: I think we have both the public in the game. When jeparle to people who are really hard core players in Guild Wars, they say "I love role playing aspects of Guild Wars, but Jene not think many people like to play PvP aspects vousavez built. And then I talk to big fans of PvP, and go: "Oh I like Guild Wars, but I'm not sure everyone jouecomme role play." It's fun, but it also one of chosesQui obviously does not work too well. We attract lafois the public, but they do not interact much. There isno "bridge" that really attracts the players of PvP role, and vice versa.Dans Guild Wars 1, we have this very fair, competitive PvPenvironnement. For this, we have supported the players who veulentjouer as a sort of e-sports. We have top guilds that we avonseffectuées in the world to attend competitions, nousavons distributed hundreds of thousands of dollars in cash hautprix guilds. And this kind of thing was brand new role to play games Ades, we were literally pushing the competition.
GG: So, the idea of players or guilds competing internationally is new.
Mike O'Brien: Exactly! GG: So what do you do in Guild Wars 2 to lower this barrier?
Mike O'Brien: We have two types of PvP. We still e-sport nature, whichis a fair, rules of the game, and very competitive. Maisnous have also introduced the "world PvP". In Guild Wars 2 vousallez play in a persistent world. And, periodically, your MONDEV connect to different worlds. And we will be concurrencepour sharing resources that can benefit our world. The nice thing about this form of PvP is going out, there are always better than not going there bas.Si I am a low level player, and yet, it lets me sortirmon team.
