Heroes Of Newerth (HoN) Hero Guide: Learn How To Dominate Other HoN Players With Any Hero Of Your Choice
You can learn how to dominate all the other HoN players with any hero of your choice. And you don't have to spend hours upon hours to achieve this either. You can be the envy of your friends without much effort. It can be an easy task, especially if you have a guide to follow.
I managed to learn the following with the help of the "Ultimate Heroes Guide":
- Engineer: how to keg with your Engineer, place turrents and your ultimate correctly, the perfect engineer skills and item build, and how to play the engineer as a carry
- Forsaken Archer: whether or not to use skeletons, why it's important to always hit with your volley and how to do so, best item and skill builds for the forsaken, and quick tower building
- Scout: how the best ward placement for the Scout, when it's best to destroy your eyes, best item and skill builds for the scout, Solo Knogor at level 10
- Voodoo Jester: how to understand cursed ground and how to best use your voodoo jester's skills, best items depending on the situation, and learn how to support.
- Chronos: how to Gank with Chronos, position your ultimate, the perfect chronos skills and item build, and the best offensive and defensive play
The above is just a very bare summary of what I've learned. The heroes guide is over 250 pages, so there is a lot of material to go through and learn.
There has been quite alot of talk about the new "Ultimate Heroes Of Newerth" guide lately. Does this guide live up to its claims, or is it just another piece of crap guide?
First of all, what exactly does this new guide offer?
The Ultimate Heroes Of Newerth goes through the following in their guide (taken from their site):

- Explicit Detailed Descriptions of Hero Game play
- Incredible Hero Skill Leveling Combo's
- Best Heroes for Pushing, Carrying & Supporting

- Unbelievable Guide for Understanding Creep & Tower Attack Order
- Game Type Explanation
The guide was apparently released in March 2010, which is the current year for those who have been living under a rock. Anyways, point is, this guide is very new. Who really knows if it's legit.
I went ahead and made the purchase. The guide is only $9.95, so I felt I didn't have much to lose. That's like lunch money for 2 days or something, lol. After making payment I was immediately taken to the download page. thankfully, I wasn't scammed. I thought they'd run away with my money after I made payment or something. I'm pretty new to buying stuff online, so I really didn't know what to expect.
Just because they didn't run away with my money, doesn't mean it's not a scam... yet. I was still yet to check out the actual content, what I came for. The guides.
I didn't realize this, but they also have a 250 page detailed guide on all the HoN heroes. Read through the Chronos and Engineer guide, both were written well and easy to understand. I also managed to learn many new things I didn't know before, and new strategies, and pretty much how to dominate HoN with any of these heroes, from Chronos to the Forsaken Archer.
There's just too much to go through. I honestly can't be bothered writing anymore, but for what I paid, the $9.95 and what I got, I have no regrets really. It was well worth it for me. You can pretty much read what else their guide offers on their site. The feature list above also shows what else they have in their guide. Well, hope this helps. Everything turned out fine for me, from purchase to receiving the product, and the quality of the product of course.
