Searching for innovative career training in some of the fastest-growing professions today? The cosmetology program at Empire Beauty Schools extends in-depth training using the CLiC methodology. "CLiC is Certified Learning in Cosmetology" explains John Dalton, director of communications at Empire Beauty Schools. "It's a really unique way of teaching --- very visual, lots of diagrams, photography. It lays out all the fundamentals and aspects of cosmetology. Each book [in the program] covers hair cutting, nails, hair coloring, and Success Dynamics." Dalton boasts the program's success, "We've been hearing a lot of good things. Success Dynamics (part of CLiC) teaches you how to sell yourself and your services, helps to build you as a better individual, and prepares candidates to become successful cosmetologists."
In the cosmetology program, students are introduced to a visually stimulating educational platform, with instruction in hair cleansing, cutting and styling techniques, color and texture services, basic skin care, makeup, and business development, among other associated studies. While training hours vary from state to state, students who apply themselves can easily complete the cosmetology program in under a year's time.
"The uniqueness of attending Empire Beauty Schools is that we're the only ones who offer the CLiC methodology special testing - (graduates) become certified through this particular training," says Dalton.
"If your interest is more directed toward becoming a professional nail technician, then the nail technology program at Empire Beauty Schools provides hands-on training in manicures, nail art, pedicures, sculpting, silk/fiberglass wraps, and much more.
Additional training options at Empire Beauty School include programs in esthetics, makeup, and teacher training for the professional cosmetologist. "Every student has the possibility of financial assistance," says Dalton. Whether prospective students choose to enroll in Georgia, Pennsylvania or any one of the other 16 States, Empire Beauty Schools gives candidates essential skills and training to become a professional entrepreneur in the field.
Dalton emphasized Empire Beauty Schools' commitment to its students and graduates, "We have a job placement center. In Pennsylvania, for instance, students coming close to the end of their studies find that many places will hire them into apprenticeship programs. One of the neat things about the cosmetology industry," Dalton mentioned, "is that it's an in-demand job."
Pursuing a career in nail technology or cosmetology is a smart move, affirms the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics. With promising , job opportunities, the field "will be best for those with previous experience and for those licensed to provide a broad range of services."

Boasting four competitions, Dalton explains, "Every school holds a local competition and winners go onto compete in the national level. Judges (including the National Director for Education) come from all over the United States.
