What Is A Blue Ray Player?
If you are still not aware of what a blue ray player is, then you must have been hiding in a cave for the past four years. There are very few people who are not aware of what a blue ray player is and in fact most people have one of their own already. There are a few details that make the blue ray disc and blue ray player so special and which you are going to want to be aware of.
The Details
A blue ray player is basically a type of media device player that plays only blue ray discs, and so you cannot use other DVDs and other formats to play in these players. Blue ray is a particular type of format, one that was initially designed in order to enable recording, rewriting and playback of HD.
So this is very much like the DVD format only different in ways as well. Blue ray is currently supported by some of the world's leading consumer computer and Video Game companies as well as music companies, and for very good reason. It is the most advanced and all around best format that can be used if you want to get the best audio and video quality that you can.
There are a few major differences between the blue ray technology and that which has come before it including the DVD format and VHS format, which most people of our generation are more used to. Basically the blue ray technology is just continuing on and evolving the format of media in the world.
With the blue ray technology you get an incredible amount more memory space for one thing. With the DVD format which came after VHS, there was certainly not this much of a difference in memory space, it was more of a convenience factor of being able to watch movies and television on a disc instead of on a tape that had to be rewound and fast forwarded, with no option of features.
Now with the blue ray technology there are more features than ever before and best of all you are never going to have to get up in the middle of your movie to put in the second disc because there is enough storage on a single blue ray disc to cover five times a single DVD disc.
