How to Play Metal Slug
Metal Slug, is it the best classic action arcade game?
Yes it is indeed the favorite action game ever! Not because you experience to be a champion at least once in your lifetime even if it's just in arcade but because it's an invigorating hand-drawn cartoon game instead of a complex graphics game. Also, the plot just gets better each time. Well, who does not get addicted with an action-filled, shooting, run and gun game? Everybody enjoys gory bloodshed. That's for sure. Hopefully just in games though.
So I suppose it all started for our passion for Contra on those sleepless nights in front of the aged big box type TV with our favorite family computer trying to finish the game. We are not done yet are we?
Metal Slug's target, just like any other action game is to get rid of everyone who crosses your path until you encounter the boss at the end of each level. Following the original Metal Slug version were Metal Slug 2, Metal Slug X, Metal Slug 3, Metal Slug 4, Metal Slug 5, Metal Slug 6 and the compilation of the series Metal Slug Anthology. Most of these versions, if not all, were released across all gaming platforms. The objective of the game stayed the same throughout all versions.
Let's meet the members of the Peregrine Falcon squad, the famous people of Metal Slug.
Marco Rossi or Marchrius Dennis Rossi, the fundamental character of the series, was born in the US despite his Italian line. He joined the team after graduating from the military and began as First Lieutenant from Metal Slug until his advancement to Major in Metal Slug 6.
Tarma Roving or Tarmicle Roving III is the son of a Japanese soldier who at age 20 saved the President resulting to his transfer to the squad. This is Captain Rossi's best ally and an avid motorcycle hobbyist.
Eri Kasamoto was an orphan who grew up in the church but ran away later on. The administration recognized her combating prowess while growing up in the streets and recruited her to by a spy. Since she had many achievements, her request to be transported to the SPARROWS, a special forces group of the government, was allowed which led to another fundamental accomplishment when she was able to successfully end Morden's second coup d' etat. As a reward, she was advanced to Sergeant, Second Class.
Fiolina Germi is an Italian heiress who joined the military as part of a family custom being the eldest child in the family. Though her interest at heart is to be in the field of medicine, Fio is a Master Sergeant at SPARROWS.
Trevor Spacey was a 3 year old computer sensation. He was recruited by the by the army to be a part of the team where he meets and reveres Marco Rossi, who knows more about computers than even he does.
Nadia Cassel is French and an aspiring model. She in reality joined the military to shed off weight but was surprised with her secret fighting talents so she volunteered for SPARROWS and aided in their operations to stop Morden.
