How can I tell if a hard drive is compatible with my computer?
I need to purchase a new hard drive for a Dell Inspiron 1525, but I don't know how to tell which hard drives will work in it. Will all laptop hard drives be able to fit in it?
It comes with a 5400 rpm SATA drive. You would need another one of those. The form factor is 2.5 inch notebook SATA. I'm including a newegg.com link to these types of drives. I'm guessing with that recent a model that you will have a 3.0Gb/s throughput on that. It is the most common.
