How can I get my wiimote to register for my new Wireless Sensor mini?
You probably need to sync it. Open the little door on the front of the Wii console and there should be a little red button that reads "Sync". Open the back of your Wii remote and you should see a small red button. Press the Sync button on your console once and then press the button on your Wii remote once. When your Wii remote's blue LEDs stop blinking then that means its synced. If not, try recharging/changing the batteries and try again.
