Nintendo Lite - Why Game with Anything Less
The most important thing for the gaming classes is quality graphics on a sleek, fast portable platform. The Nintendo DS was a epiphany for those who like their games to be not only portable but also fully featured, dynamic and with the ability to play against others. It is only natural then that as technology improves, the electronic companies quickly supercede older models with new sleeker models. In this case, two years after the Nintendo DS arrived on the market, the nintendo lite appeared. The DS Lite, a hybrid of the original, has a number of features which make it even more desirable.
The new version Nintendo Lite is not only smaller and sleeker but also weighs less heavily in your hand. A new longer life battery means you are not so dependant on a fixed electrical point. The original DS was good for about ten hours playtime, whereas the new nintendo lite gives you between 50-90% extra. However advances in battery technology mean that the new model still only takes 75% as long to charge as the original DS.
Further enhancement of the new consoles light system is also a major plus. In the original DS there was only one level of lighting. If the ds Game Console is switched on, the unadjustable light behind the screen is also on. An upgraded system for lighting the nintendo lite has been added to the new player. The new system can be altered to give the best view regardless of whether the player is being used inside or out. This upgrade alone has proven to be extremely popular with existing nintendo gamers.
As for style, the newer nintendo lite comes in a larger selection of colors than the original DS. This also makes the newer version stand out. A new, sturdier touch stylus has replaced the old one and has allowed for more positive handling and control. The controls of the newer nintendo lite have been moved to different locations compared to where they were located on the original DS. Resulting in easier play conditions for the user.
Judging by the take up of the new nintendo lite amongst existing ds owners, the upgraded console has been a big hit. A huge plus is that Game Cartridges for either system are completely interchangeable and if that wasn't enough, the new lite also plays gameboy games. The upgrade for the Game System was well thought out and definitely worth checking out.
