Why does my nintendo wii have an orange light when i switch it off?
Ok up to a week ago whenever i turned my Wii off , whether at the button on the console or via the controller it would turn off and the light would go red. However now it always goes orange...? Does anyone know why?
Its more like its not off than before as well, since my controller dockingstation charger charges the controllers while the light is orange, whereas before it wouldnt.
the only way to make it go red is to unplug and replug the power into the back of the console.
Red or orange both mean Standby Mode. It's a small difference. though. Red means WiiConnect24 is off. Orange means WiiConnect24 is on. With WiiConnect24 on, you will receive messages/updates without having the console to be powered on all the time.
