Which handheld should I go for? - The DSi or the PSP?
I've been looking around to buy a new Handheld Console.
My last handheld is a Gameboy colour xD
I've never had a PSP or a DS (or DS Lite)
Which one should I go for?
Include reasons why.
Well, the DSi has tons of games, but just like the Wii, most of them are trash.
You have a PS3, right? If so, just stick to the PSP. You can connect the PSP to the PS3 and then play games such as Resistance: Retribution, and more. Basically, you will have much more advantage with the PSP since you own a PS3. Besides, Nintendo doesn't usually invest for graphics. If you want good graphics, that's another reason to get a PSP.
So the DSi has a camera, music, and recorder, and internet - Big Deal.
The camera is VERY bad, the pictures are all blury when you take them. The music player doesn't read MP3's, so you will have to convert your music into a different type of thing, forgot what it was. Internet browser? The PSP has it too, and in the DSi's browser, you can't open Gmail, you don't have Youtube, or anything with Flash, so that also sucks. You may be missing out on some things if you like Nintendo games (like Mario, Donkey Kong, Zelda, etc.). Also, there is a new LittleBigPlanet coming out for PSP, so that would be great. Resistance: Retribution is also out now, I heard it's pretty good.
DSi doesn't have the GBA slot anymore, but I don't think it is much of a problem. But, just be warned, I think there is more chance for the PSP to actually fall apart if you drop it, since when I held it, it felt like plastic, and like it could just break easily. The DSi feels more... "safe", if you know what I mean.
PSP has skype now, so you can use it to call people, just like a cellphone. It does lack games, but all of the games that it DOES have are usually great.
The question is, which one is more right for YOU? I personally think that you should go for PSP, since you own a PS3.
