Nintendo DS Lite very high pitched whine?
I have just bought a new nintendo ds lite off ebay. It's imported from the US, its the cobalt blue coloured one. Anyway i've noticed that the Touch Screen makes a very high pitched noise. I've read of a few cases of this and also that it comes under the 12 year warranty. However being in the UK but having a US system will nintendo UK repair/replace it or not?
Actually, contrary to an earlier reply, UK DS games DO work on US consoles, and vice versa. Unlike the Wii, the DS is universally compatible worldwide, so you can buy and play games from anywhere.
However, Nintendo in the UK will not honour the warranty on a US system. You would have to return it to the ebay seller for a refund or, failing that, return it to Nintendo US for repair/replacement.
