Simple Guidelines to Connect Headphones for TV
It is known that both modern and older models of television sets are rarely equipped with the headphone jack. The older sets were designed with the set of built-in stereo speakers and sometimes with a single mono speaker, while the newer digital sets are generally set up for the home theater that involves connecting the TV to the receiver and surround sound speakers. However, the viewers sometimes just want to listen privately while they are watching a program. The best solution for this is to adapt the audio outputs of TV into the mini-jack for connecting the set of headphones. At this time, this article is going to give you some easy tips to connect headphones for TV. So, just take a look at the following tips.
As the first step, you need to locate the pair of Audio Out jacks on the back part of television, one red and one white. These are the jacks that used for connecting the receiver with the external speakers, or headphones in this case.
As the second step, you need to insert the Y adapter that plugs into the Audio Out jacks. After that, you should push straight in until the each plug is firmly seated with a click.
For the third step, you need to insert mini-plug on the end of headphones cord into small jack on the end of Y adapter.
The fourth step that you should do is to press the "Menu" button which is located on the remote control and then toggle the up and down arrows until the "Speaker" appears on the display.
For the last step, you need to use left and right arrows for turning on and off the built-in speakers of the TV for the private listening through the headphones.
After all, by following several tips above, now you can easily connect your headphones for TV. So, now you can enjoy your time privately.
