Will Nintendo repleace the cover to the gamecube controller port on the Wii if it's under warranty?
I was opening my gamecube controller port for my Wii and the flimsy hinge broke off. My Wii's under warranty and all so I wanted to knowq if I could get it replaced for free. I hope so.
I'm not absolutely sure. I kind of doubt it, but you can call Nintendo at 1-800-255-3700 to make sure. But I don't think Nintendo will replace it unless a piece of it has actually broken off inside the Wii. If so, you can definetly send it in for repairs, and it will be free since your Wii is under warranty.
If the piece is still whole and it's just broke out of the Wii, the cover can be replaced by reinserting the cover straight down into the console until it clicks into place.
In any case, you can buy a replacement part from Nintendo's online store for $1 USD (plus shipping & handling):
