where to get the washers and the screws for the xbox 360 x clamp fix and what size are they?
so, every thing is in the question, i am fixing a red ring of death xbox 360, and i need the screws and washers for the xbox 360 x-clamp fix. does any one know where they sell them? i only wanto buy them from like hardware stores. not online because they cost too much. thanks for the help
here you go buddy. although i suggest sending back for repairs (it's 3 years for the warranty) there are also sites that will fix it and warranty their work. I did some research for you and this is what i found.
Here are the offical home depot part numbers:
Qty - 8 Machine Screw Pan - Phillips 5 x 10mm (DR# - 313) UPC - 030699 801282
Qty - 16 Flat Washer Nylon #10 (DR# - 610) UPC - 030699 869381
Qty - 16 Flat Washer Steel / ZINC Plated 5mm (DR# - 606) UPC - 030699 363087
Do NOT use the 'hex' head screws as a alternative, they are too large and cause your motherboard to bend when you screw it all back togeather.
Note: The 'DR#' is the 'drawer number' and may not be the same at every home depot. I've visited 3 now with the same drawer numbers, but the upc and description is the best way to find it.
