Killzone 2 Review For PS3 + Cheat Codes
Killzone 2 is an intense first person shooter. Ten hours of enthralling gameplay just flew by as I lost myself in the cinematic ambiance and the visual beauty of the detailed landscapes and dilapidated architecture of the planet of Helghan, not to mention the many furious battles against the fanatical and powerful Helghast army. Killzone 2 is a gritty and profound experience that I won’t forget in a long time.

With top-notch graphics, fantastic single- and multiplayer modes, Killzone 2 has pretty much everything a PS3 shooter junkie could need.
Almost four years have passed since Sony first unveiled Killzone 2, their vastly darker answer to the Halo franchise. In gaming terms, four years is an eternity, but Guerilla Games’ gritty shooter is finally here to deliver a kickass experience that more than rewards us for our patience. Killzone 2, with its face-meltingly intense campaign and robust multiplayer, exceeds the expectations set forth by the original game and the tremendously ambitious E3 2005 trailer. It’s still early, but this one already reeks of shooter of the year.
This is a trend that began with a game called Killzone 2. The infamous e3 2005 CG trailer led to a lot of hate and conspiracy. After four years of criticism, Killzone 2 is finally here!
Killzone 2 works on a tried and tested formula, but the developers have perfected the core gameplay aspects making it an excellent game. This is the third game in the series and is a direct sequel to the PSP title “Killzone Liberation”.
In Killzone 2 you take the role of Sergeant Tomas “Sev” Sevchenko of the ISA (Interplanetary Strategic Alliance), who is on a mission to capture the Helghast leader, Emperor Scolar Visari who has taken over the ISA colony of Helghan and made it his home. Guarding the planet from invasion are his masked troops, the Helghast, who are of human descent but have adapted themselves physically to cope with the harsh conditions of its planet. As you and your ISA troops search for Visari, the Helghast seek to do everything in their power to stop you from taking control of Helghan.
As Sev, a war veteran with the Alpha squad, with a mission to capture Scolar Visari, the highly influential and charismatic Helghan leader. The single player plot is very simple and basic; you don’t need to know the history of the game to enjoy the experience.

Additionally, in Killzone 2 for PlayStation 3, players will be tasked with utilising a host of new weapons and vehicles in the war to stop the Helghast. Featuring an extensive single-player campaign and thrilling multi-player mode, Killzone 2 for PS3 delivers a host of new gameplay elements and an intense storyline that will once again drive gamers to join the ranks of the ISA and fight the Helghast… this time on the enemy?s home planet!

Killzone 2 is a science fiction first-person shooter for the PlayStation 3, developed by Guerrilla Games and published by Sony Computer Entertainment Europe. It is the third installment in the Killzone franchise that began on the PlayStation 2 with Killzone and continued on the PlayStation Portable with Killzone: Liberation. The game was first announced at E3 2005, with a tech demo on display, while the first gameplay footage was shown two years later at E3 2007. Killzone 2 will be released worldwide late February 2009.
The original Killzone 2 never quite fulfilled its promise as Sony’s “Halo killer”, but the second game has already become the PlayStation 3’s definitive first person shooter. Renowned for its graphics from the first moment it was previewed, there’s a lot more to this game than just state-of-the-art visuals.
Killzone 2 is without a doubt the high point for a project in videogaming. Believable, safe, coherent and above all, brilliant in its execution. A must-have for all those who love this art, especially for those in need of breathtaking experiences, where the different senses are laid on the table.
Killzone 2 is by far the best first person shooter on the PlayStation 3, with unprecedented graphics, impressive physics and a multiplayer experience that deserves to be played. Guerrilla Games have created an unforgettable action adventure with varied gameplay, intelligent AI and imposing enemies. You don’t want to miss this game.
When the first Killzone was released on the PS2 back in 2004, it failed to make much of a splash in the first-person shooter genre, despite being considered somewhat of a cult hit. The game was originally hyped up to be a “Halo-killer,” which didn’t help the critical response it received when it turned out to be nothing more than a mediocre console FPS hardly capable of squashing games like Turok or Red Faction, much less the 800-pound gorilla, Halo. The biggest reason some gamers, myself included, loved the original Killzone was for its deeply satisfying multiplayer, but you can’t sell half a game right?
Two years after the Helghast assault on Vekta, the ISA is bringing the fight to the enemy?s home world of Helghan. Taking the role of Sev, the battle-hardened veteran of the special forces unit known as the Legion, players will embark upon a mission to the planet Helghan to capture the Helghast leader, Emperor Visari, and bring the enemy?s war machine to a halt. For Sev and his squad, the invasion of Helghan is just the beginning. Tasked with securing Pyrrhus, the Capital City, the team quickly discovers that the Helghast are a formidable enemy on their home planet. Not only have they adjusted to the planet?s hostile conditions, they have also harnessed a source of power from the environment that can be used against the ISA. Sev and his team soon discover the fight is greater than simply addressing the enemy forces; the Legion must also learn how to handle the effects of the fierce enemy planet.
Killzone 2 is a PS3 exclusive first person shooter. It has a new physics engine and graphics technology designed to create a more realistic and immerse gameplay experience. Rather than being simply a backdrop, the detailed environment has destructible objects and terrain which requires constant tactical evaluation.
The game also has an advanced AI that reacts to a player’s actions. The AI considers every round a player fires and changes its tactics to match. Enemies don’t blindly charge at the player, instead they use solid tactics for a true challenge.
The single-player aspects of Killzone 2 were on grand display at E3, but with the Leipzig Game Convention now in full swing, Killzone 2’s multiplayer aspects are coming into focus. We’ve learned some of the first details about Killzone 2’s RPG-like elements, a facet that may initially confound many PS3 gamers but that could eventually win gamers over on all known platforms.
To understand how Killzone 2 has such deep multiplayer aspects, it’s important to realize that Guerilla Games actually has two separate teams working on the game: one for the single-player game, and one for the multiplayer. This strategy worked with great success in the Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter games, and it looks to be working even better and with much more depth with Killzone 2.
Although they’re being developed by a stand-alone team, the multiplayer aspects of Killzone 2 are just as focused on fast action as the campaign, but with a significant dose of strategy as well. Don’t worry; that doesn’t mean Killzone 2 has turned into an RTS. Far from it; Killzone 2 is as compelling an FPS as you’ll find on any system, particularly for gamers who are tiring of the frag-happy players who shoot mindlessly in Halo 3. In Killzone 2, the ISA vs. Helghast gameplay is focused like a laser on team-based play, and it supports anywhere from two to 32 players, which means players who don’t strategize even somewhat are doomed to fail.
