Halo 3: ODST For XBox 360 retains the familiar Halo AI, which we still hold in high regard. Stronger enemies react according to your behavior and will never rush until they are certain they have the upper hand. Halo 3: ODST literally drops players into almost the middle of the Halo trilogy.

Halo 3: ODST fills in a few interesting spots in the Halo timeline, even if the characters themselves aren’t strong enough to carry the narrative. But it strikes a healthy balance between new twists and more content done in Bungie’s trademark style.

Halo 3: ODST’s tale focuses on the legendary ODSTs or “Orbital Drop Shock Troopers” as they drop into the ruined city of New Mombasa, looking for clues behind the Covenant’s catastrophic attack on the city.

The new campaign chapter predates the events that unfold in “Halo 3″ and gives players a new perspective through the eyes of a new hero in the “Halo” universe. Halo 3: ODST isn’t just an ordinary expansion. The campaign may be sub-par in terms of length, but as always quality wins over quantity.

Halo 3: ODST For XBox 360 also ships with a separate disc of multiplayer games. This standalone disc features 24 maps in total including all of the original Halo 3 multiplayer maps and three new Halo 3 multiplayer maps. Halo 3: ODST was on the store shelves this week and tops the list for video game sales. While many gamers anticipated the release of Halo 3: ODST, no one expected problems with it.

Halo 3: ODST had a lot riding on it as a lot of people didn’t think that ODST take would work in the context of the whole series. I’m happy to say though that Bungie nailed it.

Harmonix has produced some of the most addictive and widely-acclaimed games ever made. From the futuristic Frequency to the history-making The Beatles: Rock Band , we aim to put you inside the music and deliver more fun than you thought possible. Harmonix has created the famous guitars that the Beatles originally played with and have even updated the RockBand 2 drums. The story behind the incredible finish on the bass is they were able to acquire a high resolution photo of the wood grain finish from a violin maker and they have replicated it to create an incredibly accurate wood grain finish on this guitar.

Harmonix shelled out quite a bit of cash for the band and obviously that is going to be reflected in the price, and that’s understandable. Besides, the game itself is compatible with the already-released Rock Band equipment, so it’s not like you have to drop all that cash if you just want to play it. Harmonix has also confirmed that the game will support its own DLC, including Abbey Road, which will be downloadable in its entirety for owners of the game. Additionally, The Beatles: Rock Band For Xbox 360 version of the game will have the song ‘All You Need is Love’ as an exclusive download, with all proceeds going to Doctors Without Borders.

Harmonies are constructive and not destructive meaning that if you do miss these portions of the song it won’t hurt you. From the demonstration, it looks like it’s going to take a lot of practice to get it right as it adds a new layer of complexity to the game.

Harmonix, single-handedly responsible for popularising the music game phenomenon to begin with, are clearly masters of the genre. The note charts for The Beatles: Rock Band are not overwhelmingly complex - they’re certainly not difficult for the sake of difficulty - but they’re outlandishly fun.

Beatles fans will also be thrilled to hear previously unreleased authentic voice recordings from John, Paul, George and Ringo chatting between takes during studio sessions recorded at Abbey Road more than four decades ago. Beatles Fan, VH1 Classic is a channel which focuses on a subgenre of a genre. The genre is music, the subgenre is 70s, 80s, and 90s music. Beatle Beats breaks out some of Starr’s more famous beats, an opportunity to appreciate his regularly under-appreciated skills.

Beatlemaniacs in particular will enjoy the small touches that Harmonix has put into the game just for fans of the Fab Four. The outfits, locations, facial expressions, instruments — everything is just as it was when the Beatles ruled the airwaves in the 1960’s.

Imaginative, stoner-friendly “Dreamscape” effects will fill the band’s performances when the song was recorded at the studio and not often performed live. These effects are neatly done and evoke the films without aping their style. Imagine, sitting at home, dying to play the Beatles Rock Band and not having the game to play with! That’s a situation I wouldn’t want to deal with.

Wii Sports Resort shines as a fun, accessible and varied multiplayer experience, and while not all of its mini-games are top-notch, there’s plenty here to make this a great party game for any Wii owner. Wii Sports Resort changes the angles to keep players on their toes. You might slice a watermelon right to left and then cut into two diagonal halves later. Wii Sports Resort is a fun, casual experience that can attract new players and prepares us for the onset of cooler and more diverse uses of the peripheral.

Wii Sports Resort takes place on Wuhu Island, a resort island where players and their Miis can play 12 different sports and activities. One of the best things about the game is that all 12 mini-games are available right out of the box. Wii Sports Resort might lack the kind of revelatory innovative oomph that accompanied its forebear’s debut but it’s still a thoroughly charmingly masterclass in entertaining, accessible game design. Wii Sports Resort gives you more than double the activities with a total of 12 different sports to enjoy. These include a Kendo-style fencing activity, Frisbee disc throwing, archery, basketball, ping pong, wakeboarding, jet-skiing, and even canoeing.

Wii Sports Resort got something right that EA failed to do, and that was a better job of creating big, looping shots if you threw it higher. But what I didn’t like was the lack of a basket. Wii Sports Resort is a must have title not only for the casual gamer but also for the hardcore because it is just pure, unadulterated fun that everyone will enjoy. Wii Sports Resort, like its predecessor, is deep enough to be enjoyed by hardened gamers and simple enough to be enjoyed by everyone else. Yes, even you macho-FPS-bald-space-marine gamers! you too can have fun with this.

Wii Sports Resort whisks players away to a resort that’s full of action, while introducing an unprecedented experience in physical reality. Wii Sports Resort comes bundled with a Wii MotionPlus accessory to provide players the most realistic, immersive experience possible. The slightest tilt, turn and twist of the Wii Remote controller is recognized. Wii Sports Resort is the game they already love, but with new sports and Motion Control compatibility. Wii Sports Resort is a mixed bag when it comes to value for money. If you already own a number of Wiimotes this will give you a really entertaining experience with friends and family.

EA SPORTS Grand Slam Tennis, available first for the Wii, puts the racket in the palm of your hand and offers the deepest tennis experience ever for the Wii. As the home to all four Grand Slams, and exclusive to Wimbledon, you can take your customized created player on a quest to win the four slams in Grand Slam career mode.

EA Sports Grand Slam Tennis hopes to capture the authenticity of the sport, while still offering fun gameplay for all. We recently got a chance to go hands-on with it at an EA event and came away impressed.

Wimbledon, played on grass surface, is the oldest of the grand slams. French Open is the second of the Grand Slam tennis tournaments on the annual tennis calendar and the premier clay court tennis tournament in the world. Wimbledon is another wonderful grand slam played in the months of June and July. This is probably the most difficult of all the surfaces to play on.

Grand Slam Tennis features the exclusive Wimbledon license and therefore recreates the famed courts housed within, which means you’ll be able to visit a variety of grass, clay and hard locales. You’ll even notice your character sliding around the court at the French Open. Grand Slam Tennis controls just fine with the remote and Nunchuk, but to get the most out of the game you?ll want to take advantage of the integrated Wii MotionPlus support. This add-on improves the Wii?s motion-sensing abilities, which in turn makes for a more challenging and realistic experience.

World of Goo is an indie masterpiece. World of Goo is a physics based puzzle game released as a part of the Nintendo Wii’s WiiWare downloadable service, PC/MAC, as well as Linux. On the Wii, the game is released as a WiiWare title in the US, but it was released as a Wii disc in Europe and was slightly more expensive on disc. World Of Goo is so stunningly designed, so beautifully illustrated, so precisely programmed, and so completely adorable that any of the greatest development companies in the world would be proud to release it.

World of Goo is a fantastic game for several reasons: simple mouse selection, plentiful goo types, varied puzzles, a great theme, and an interactive high score list. World of Goo is also one of the most frustrating games I’ve played in quite a while due to its unflinching difficulty from the word go. World of Goo on Wii looks just as good as the PC version and even features exclusive multiplayer action where up to four people can help clear a level at once, is there anything World of Goo doesn’t do? World of Goo transcends any confines of traditional gameplay by hiding what makes the game work behind a sheen of brilliant enjoyment.

World of Goo reminds me in a way of Lemmings: it’s full of a bunch of cute small creatures and requires construction skills. Your aim consists on rescuing the Goo balls scattered all over the screen on each level by building all sorts of structures with them (ladders, bridges, poles, etc.) that let you overcome different obstacles such as hills, spikes or cliffs, not to mention gravity itself. World of Goo has been a massive success for 2D Boy. Obscurity does not beckon. World of Goo isn’t the ONLY game this company has ever published. Notice how their name within the body text isn’t linking to meta-tags?

World of Goo was worth the price just to be able to watch my wife play it. Every time her structures begin swaying back and forth, she sways back and forth with them as if that’s going to keep them from collapsing. World of Goo is a physics based puzzle / construction game. The millions of Goo Balls that live in the beautiful World of Goo don’t know that they are in a game. World of Goo, a puzzle game for the computer and the Nintendo Wii, delivers one of the coolest sets of building tools: balls of squirming goo. By combining these globs of stickiness together to form structures, you solve the 48 puzzles that make up this game.

World of Goo falls into a special category that only a select few games fall into. Do you remember when you first got your hands on Super Mario 64, the excitement that oozed out of you when you picked up the pad and controlled Mario around in 3D for the first time? World of Goo has a fairly simple premise: link together a variety of goo balls to reach the exit pipe. As long as you have the requested number of goo balls remaining unused, they will travel along the structure you’ve built and out the exit pipe, thus completing the level’s goal. World of Goo Corporation, in particular, is a giant metaphor for some of the absurd experiences we’ve had along the way with publishers so far. I just hope not too many Goo Balls get chopped up by rusty spikes, or fall into infinite death pits.

World of Goo is incredibly fun, colorful, and full of cuteness that gamers of all ages, genders and preferences will enjoy without exception. For many it may be a case of a game you would love to hate but just can not manage to do so.

Balls can be picked up and moved around to adapt the constructions. While buildings sometimes timebugs will appear. Balls tend to all bounce around together, making it way too easy to cause a structure to crumple by grabbing the wrong goo when time is of the essence. It’s also too easy to accidentally grab a time bug, seeing as how they tend to buzz around awfully close to your structures.

Build it one way too far, and it falls down; keep the center of gravity above the base, and the tower rises. There is also a sense of harmonics/resonance/vibration in that if your structure starts to bend and bob, you have to be careful that your additions don’t cause more of this in an undesired direction. Building goo towers is as simple as dragging and dropping goos to form links with other goos. The goal of every level is to get goos into the Goo Corporation pipe, but the similarities between levels really stop there.

Start building towers of Goo and they sway and wobble adding to the challenge. Starting from just a single triangle of Goo, the aim is to build the highest possible tower. The Goos in the World Of Goo Corporation are unique in that they can be repositioned like Ivy Goos but are black and can only form two connections at once like Common Goos.

Gameplay is on the whole phenomenal. Physics-wise, few games touch World of Goo : the coherency and feasibility of structures is evident to even the most untrained eye. Games are not the only thing you can download for the Wii. You can also download music, movies, software, and TV shows. Gameplay is well thought out and is our main draw to playing, as it should be. However, there are some interesting design choices backing that gameplay.

Mario Kart for Wii is a fun game and surprisingly the steering wheel peripheral works really well with it. If you own a Wii and are a Mario Kart or racing game fan, then I recommend getting the game, but I have to give it a little lower score because of some of the things mentioned above that are holding it back. Mario Kart Wii still follows the Cup system, with 4 tracks in each of the 4 Cups for a total of 16 brand new tracks. Another 16 classic tracks are included via 4 more Cups to drive the nostalgia level up and to offer more variety and replay value. Mario Kart Wii is ultimately an uneven package with as many omissions and flaws as there are clever additions and solid ideas.

Mario Karts unlocking can change the game completely. You are a gamer than you love racing. Mario Kart Wii draws on courses and battle arenas from every game in the series!

Mario Kart Wii is fun, but that’s tempered with the sheer frustration from the AI. This will undoubtedly be yet another Wii success, but I can’t help but think this would be a blockbuster if only the series as a whole didn’t feel like a practice in sadism.

Mario Kart offers multiplayer gaming as well, this time supporting up to 8 players simultaneously. I wonder whether the DS will see connectivity with this title or not when it comes to multiplayer . Mario Kart Wii ditches the two characters to a kart idea and throws in the option to use motorcycles. Motorcycles don’t differ that much from normal karts, but it’s nice to see some variety. Mario Kart Wii has received a few graphical updates since the GameCube version, but the game still looks old. Each of the levels that appeared in previous Mario Kart games have been revised and updated and have a new shine to them.

Mario Kart has a very smooth and sharp look to it with vibrant colors and some nice visual effects. The game also runs at a silky smooth 60 frames per second in every mode outside three- or four-player split screen. Mario Kart Wii will include 16 new courses and 16 classic courses from previous Mario Kart games. For the first time ever, players have the option of racing with either karts or motorbikes.

Easier control

If you experience turning, wheelie, or trick issues using the Wii Wheel, try using the Nunchuck and Wii-mote.

Quick start

When the countdown starts, wait until the “2″ begins to disappear, then hold 2 to get a boost at the start of the race.

When the timer to begin the race just starts, hold 1 + 2. As soon as it is about to say “Go”, release both buttons and press 2 as you would normally do to start the race. If done correctly, you will get a nice boost that will usually put you in first place in the 50cc and 100cc class. Note: This may require some practice.

Quick recovery from collision

When you fall into an obstacle, press 2 precisely when you land to get a temporary boost.

Quick recovery from POW Block

You must have drifting set to manual for this trick to work. Before the third strike from a POW Block, start to drift so that your kart or bike will be in the air for the third strike. When you land, you should only spin once and maintain about the same speed.

When an opponent uses a POW Block, it will spin you out on the third POW, causing you to lose an item and speed. However, if you perform a wheelie on a bike as soon as your hear the third POW, you will spin and lose your item but maintain your speed. Additionally, if you shake the Wii-mote, it will create a force field and protect you. Also, if you are off the ground (not jumping) from something such as a ramp, you will avoid the POW Block. -From: Greg

Quick recovery on bike after being hit

While on a bike, after you are hit or run into an item, perform a wheelie to increase your speed quickly.

Drafting boost

To get a small boost while racing, get directly behind someone on a long straight road. You also cannot turn while doing this trick. If done correctly, you will see several blue streaks that fly behind you. Keep driving straight, and you will see a blue force field in front of you. You then will get a small boost.

Easy hit

To score an automatic hit on anyone in a race, place a banana or fake item box immediately after you land from a DK Cannon. They will be forced to land on it.

Use same character with more than one player

This glitch works because you are automatically placed on the character you last selected. First, make have player one choose the character desired. Next, deselect the character, and move off it. Have player two select the character. Go back one screen, then enter the character selection screen again. You should now both be on the same character. Then, have both players select the character. Note: This trick also works for three and four players.

Changing Mii driver’s class

Enter the Mii Channel, and change the weight of your Mii. This will cause your Mii driver in the game to change to the corresponding weight class and give you access to the corresponding new vehicles.

Fast time in Coconut Mall

To get the Expert Staff Ghost on the Coconut Mall time trial, use the Wild Wing medium kart. Take a right into a store on the right side after the first escalator, then use a mushroom. You will see a Delfino tree person at the door.

DK Summit shortcut

After you shoot out of the cannon and come up to the turn, go off the jump toppers on the left. This should send you soaring through the curve and give you a good lead.

Hidden items in DS Delfino Square

Hit the crates on the side of the road with either your kart or a shell. A Super Mushroom will sometimes pop out, but very close to the edge.

Koopa Cape shortcut

Once you go over the ramp leading into the fast stream, keep going around, and enter through the little arch with the ramp on the left. This requires something that gives speed, such as a Super Mushroom, Invincibility Star, or Golden Mushroom. Instead of going around the giant red hat, pass through the grass behind it, giving a straightaway path. This will help you win the race and improve your ghost times in Time Trials mode.

Hidden items in Koopa Cape

After making the first jump, you will notice a few Goombas walking in place. Fire a shell at one to reveal either nothing or a Super Mushroom. You can also run into one if it is in the status of a Mega Mushroom, Invincibility Star, or Bullet Bill.

Hidden items in Maple Treeway

There are many leaf piles on the track. Run through one to reveal a Super Mushroom or Banana Peel. Once you get on top of the tree with the caterpillar creatures, an Invincibility Star may be found in one of the bushes on the left side of the treetop, but not on every lap. You may need to veer off to the left after hitting the bush because the star pops out jumping left. This is useful in getting far ahead of the group if in first place or to catch up if near last place.

Hidden items in Mushroom Gorge

There are some Goombas on the track that contain Super Mushrooms or absolutely nothing.

Using Triple Shells as ramming weapon

After you get a Triple Shell item of any color, press 2 so that all three are spinning around you. Before you launch them, you can use them to ram other cars. It does the same damage as if you launched them at an opponent.

Avoiding Spiky Shells

When you are in first place and have a Spiky Shell coming at you, hit the brakes so the racers behind you will get stuck in the blast, allowing you to keep your lead.

Defending against Blue Shells

This trick requires a Mushroom. The Blue Shell goes up and comes down. Before it hits, you will have time to use a Mushroom and avoid the shell. You should boost forward and the Blue Shell should explode behind you.

This trick requires some sort of speeding item, such as a Speed Mushroom. You must be in first place to get a Blue Shell targeted at you. Once the Blue Shell is above your head, use the speeding item just before it descends. It will make a large explosion behind you, but will miss. You can also avoid them by using the following tricks on the indicated courses:

DK Summit: Go through the DK Cannon.

N64: DK’s Jungle Parkway: Go over the jumps over the yellow river.

GCN: DK Mountain: Go through the DK Cannon.

Rainbow Road: Go through the tunnel with the giant stars on each end.

Defending against Red Shells

You can block Red Shells by equipping an item behind you. Once you have an item, hold D-pad Left or D-pad Right. Items that work are Green Shells, Red Shells, and Bananas. Do not hold Fake Item Boxes or Bob-ombs behind you.

Avoiding Red and Green Shells

To avoid a Red or Green Shell, go on a DK Cannon if one is available. The shell will disappear at the entrance. You can also use this trick for clouds. They will disappear above you on the cannons, and you will not be affected by them.

Getting rid of clouds

If you have a cloud over your head, ram into another player to get rid of it.

Team drafting boost

This trick requires two or more players. While playing in VS. Team racing, draft by following a friend somewhat closely from behind. Once you get the boost, go around him or her to take the lead in front of them. Have that friend draft behind you. Keep repeating this to quickly finish a race.

Winning online

A win counts as long as points are added to your total score. For example, if you get fifth, or sometimes sixth, place in an online race, it is still considered a win. The same goes for Battle Online. You can be on the losing team, but if you scored enough coins or hits and it adds points to your score, then it can be a win.

Golden Wii Wheel icon

After using the Wii Wheel extensively in all modes, a golden Wii Wheel will appear next to your name when you go online.

Profile name stars

You can add a star next to your profile name on the results screen and the Wi-Fi races by completing all Grand Prix races with a certain rank:

One star profile name: Earn a “One Star” rank in all Grand Prix races.

Two star profile name: Earn a “Two Star” rank in all Grand Prix races.

Three star profile name: Earn a “Three Star” rank in all Grand Prix races.

Rank requirements

The following are requirements to get a “One Star”, “Two Star”, or “Three Star” rank:

Get a final score of 53 or better.

Lead most of the laps.

Stay in first place for a good period of time.

Do a lot of tricks on ramps.

Avoid having to use Bullet Bills to catch up.

Use lots of techniques such as wheelies, avoiding POW Blocks, etc.

Do not fall off edges too much (one or two times is acceptable). If you get hit by many Spiny Shells and still win, this indicates that you are resistant and will probably have a high rank.

A perfect 60 is required for a “Three Star” rank. A “Two Star” rank ranges from 55 to 60. A “One Star” rank is 53 to 60 with most or all of these requirements.

Killzone 2 is an intense first person shooter. Ten hours of enthralling gameplay just flew by as I lost myself in the cinematic ambiance and the visual beauty of the detailed landscapes and dilapidated architecture of the planet of Helghan, not to mention the many furious battles against the fanatical and powerful Helghast army. Killzone 2 is a gritty and profound experience that I won’t forget in a long time.

With top-notch graphics, fantastic single- and multiplayer modes, Killzone 2 has pretty much everything a PS3 shooter junkie could need.

Almost four years have passed since Sony first unveiled Killzone 2, their vastly darker answer to the Halo franchise. In gaming terms, four years is an eternity, but Guerilla Games’ gritty shooter is finally here to deliver a kickass experience that more than rewards us for our patience. Killzone 2, with its face-meltingly intense campaign and robust multiplayer, exceeds the expectations set forth by the original game and the tremendously ambitious E3 2005 trailer. It’s still early, but this one already reeks of shooter of the year.

This is a trend that began with a game called Killzone 2. The infamous e3 2005 CG trailer led to a lot of hate and conspiracy. After four years of criticism, Killzone 2 is finally here!

Killzone 2 works on a tried and tested formula, but the developers have perfected the core gameplay aspects making it an excellent game. This is the third game in the series and is a direct sequel to the PSP title “Killzone Liberation”.

In Killzone 2 you take the role of Sergeant Tomas “Sev” Sevchenko of the ISA (Interplanetary Strategic Alliance), who is on a mission to capture the Helghast leader, Emperor Scolar Visari who has taken over the ISA colony of Helghan and made it his home. Guarding the planet from invasion are his masked troops, the Helghast, who are of human descent but have adapted themselves physically to cope with the harsh conditions of its planet. As you and your ISA troops search for Visari, the Helghast seek to do everything in their power to stop you from taking control of Helghan.

As Sev, a war veteran with the Alpha squad, with a mission to capture Scolar Visari, the highly influential and charismatic Helghan leader. The single player plot is very simple and basic; you don’t need to know the history of the game to enjoy the experience.

Players will encounter lifelike and adaptable artificial intelligence (A.I.) from Killzone 2’s enemies as well as fellow soldiers, destructible environments, and stunningly detailed scenery. Additionally, in Killzone 2 for PlayStation 3, players will be tasked with utilising a host of new weapons and vehicles in the war to stop the Helghast. Featuring an extensive single-player campaign and thrilling multi-player mode, Killzone 2 for PS3 delivers a host of new gameplay elements and an intense storyline that will once again drive gamers to join the ranks of the ISA and fight the Helghast… this time on the enemy?s home planet!

Experience a beautifully lit world: Killzone 2 on PlayStation 3 is brought to life by deferred rendering technology. Multiple shadows casting light sources bring out the highly detailed environments and character animations.

True next-gen audio: Killzone 2 players are further immersed in the world of Killzone 2 on PS3, supporting 7.1 surround and location-specific audio with wave tracing. Players in Killzone 2 for Playstation 3 will not only notice the difference between indoor and outdoor but also experience sound and music that are dynamic and contextual.

Killzone 2 is a science fiction first-person shooter for the PlayStation 3, developed by Guerrilla Games and published by Sony Computer Entertainment Europe. It is the third installment in the Killzone franchise that began on the PlayStation 2 with Killzone and continued on the PlayStation Portable with Killzone: Liberation. The game was first announced at E3 2005, with a tech demo on display, while the first gameplay footage was shown two years later at E3 2007. Killzone 2 will be released worldwide late February 2009.

The original Killzone 2 never quite fulfilled its promise as Sony’s “Halo killer”, but the second game has already become the PlayStation 3’s definitive first person shooter. Renowned for its graphics from the first moment it was previewed, there’s a lot more to this game than just state-of-the-art visuals.

Killzone 2 is without a doubt the high point for a project in videogaming. Believable, safe, coherent and above all, brilliant in its execution. A must-have for all those who love this art, especially for those in need of breathtaking experiences, where the different senses are laid on the table.

Killzone 2 is by far the best first person shooter on the PlayStation 3, with unprecedented graphics, impressive physics and a multiplayer experience that deserves to be played. Guerrilla Games have created an unforgettable action adventure with varied gameplay, intelligent AI and imposing enemies. You don’t want to miss this game.

When the first Killzone was released on the PS2 back in 2004, it failed to make much of a splash in the first-person shooter genre, despite being considered somewhat of a cult hit. The game was originally hyped up to be a “Halo-killer,” which didn’t help the critical response it received when it turned out to be nothing more than a mediocre console FPS hardly capable of squashing games like Turok or Red Faction, much less the 800-pound gorilla, Halo. The biggest reason some gamers, myself included, loved the original Killzone was for its deeply satisfying multiplayer, but you can’t sell half a game right?

Two years after the Helghast assault on Vekta, the ISA is bringing the fight to the enemy?s home world of Helghan. Taking the role of Sev, the battle-hardened veteran of the special forces unit known as the Legion, players will embark upon a mission to the planet Helghan to capture the Helghast leader, Emperor Visari, and bring the enemy?s war machine to a halt. For Sev and his squad, the invasion of Helghan is just the beginning. Tasked with securing Pyrrhus, the Capital City, the team quickly discovers that the Helghast are a formidable enemy on their home planet. Not only have they adjusted to the planet?s hostile conditions, they have also harnessed a source of power from the environment that can be used against the ISA. Sev and his team soon discover the fight is greater than simply addressing the enemy forces; the Legion must also learn how to handle the effects of the fierce enemy planet.

Killzone 2 is a PS3 exclusive first person shooter. It has a new physics engine and graphics technology designed to create a more realistic and immerse gameplay experience. Rather than being simply a backdrop, the detailed environment has destructible objects and terrain which requires constant tactical evaluation.

The game also has an advanced AI that reacts to a player’s actions. The AI considers every round a player fires and changes its tactics to match. Enemies don’t blindly charge at the player, instead they use solid tactics for a true challenge.

The single-player aspects of Killzone 2 were on grand display at E3, but with the Leipzig Game Convention now in full swing, Killzone 2’s multiplayer aspects are coming into focus. We’ve learned some of the first details about Killzone 2’s RPG-like elements, a facet that may initially confound many PS3 gamers but that could eventually win gamers over on all known platforms.

To understand how Killzone 2 has such deep multiplayer aspects, it’s important to realize that Guerilla Games actually has two separate teams working on the game: one for the single-player game, and one for the multiplayer. This strategy worked with great success in the Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter games, and it looks to be working even better and with much more depth with Killzone 2.

Although they’re being developed by a stand-alone team, the multiplayer aspects of Killzone 2 are just as focused on fast action as the campaign, but with a significant dose of strategy as well. Don’t worry; that doesn’t mean Killzone 2 has turned into an RTS. Far from it; Killzone 2 is as compelling an FPS as you’ll find on any system, particularly for gamers who are tiring of the frag-happy players who shoot mindlessly in Halo 3. In Killzone 2, the ISA vs. Helghast gameplay is focused like a laser on team-based play, and it supports anywhere from two to 32 players, which means players who don’t strategize even somewhat are doomed to fail.

The House of the Dead: Overkill, SEGA’s Wii-exclusive reboot of its undead shooting gallery, has a score combo system. Provided you don’t miss the “mutants”, or the pickups, or the panes of glass, or the conveniently-placed giant candelabras, you’ll progress through a series of score-enhancing states called “extreme violence”, “ultra violence”, “psychotic” and finally - worth a delicious extra 1000 points per kill - “Goregasm”.

The House of the Dead: OVERKILL” charges you with mowing down waves of infected, blood-thirsty zombies in a last-ditch effort to survive and uncover the horrific truth behind the origins of the House of the Dead. Survival horror as it’s never been seen before. Based on the classic series, The House of the Dead: Overkill deposits you in a retro, B movie-style world crawling with monstrous zombies hungry for your brain. Mow down the rampaging zombies and earn points by picking them apart limb by limb or by taking the perfect slo-mo head shot.

Over all, Overkill is a total blast, retaining the series addictive gameplay roots while also injecting a fresh stylized vibe. It’s also the prettiest entry in the series, incorporating gore-drenched details, retina-burning explosions, and some amazing boss battles. There are no major twists on the genre standard, or brand new gameplay twists to shout about on the back of the box. It’s just excellently created gore-packed shooting brilliance. The play mechanics are of the on-rails shooter-style used in other House of the Dead games. As in the well-received House of the Dead 2 & 3 remake for Wii, players aim and fire using the Wii Remote as their firearm, while their characters automatically move forward through the level, pausing at key locations for special challenges and scripted events.

Moldy flesh and blood spurts permeate almost every frame of the game, much like previous titles in the series. Early screenshots also show that Overkill will use some new visual elements including various filters and effects such as wash-out, grain, and overexposure to achieve the game’s B-movie aesthetic. Buttons don’t always work when in the interface, glitches riddle the game and often freeze or momentarily halt progress as we blast through a little two-player co-op or duel wield mode, and random issues are still being ironed out.

Click Here for all the Latest Wii Game Downloads for One Low Price

Not a problem, and as long as everyone reading this is clear that these issues are here, and that we’re going to carry on (much like we do with most preview builds) that the blatant issues we see will be fixed and that’s just the nature of game development so you should have a good feeling of what Overkill offers House of the Dead newcomers and veterans alike by the end of my little rant here. In addition to the satisfying amount of blood, the game also has a stylish and campy presentation that reminds us of the Grindhouse films, complete with grainy filter and excessive swearing. Boss fights are easy, some levels are too dark and the action chugs along, but Overkill is a digital slaughterhouse full of carnage that’ll make you happy to be an adult Wii owner.

Gamers are also able to re-play levels with a greater quantity of tougher zombies to offer an, in theory, more fearsome challenge. This also includes a ‘director’s cut’ mode which restores all the deleted sections to ramp up the difficulty. Gameplay has come a long way since the first time we went hands-on with the project, though it still isn’t perfect. On the plus side, there’s lots of dismemberment C and I mean lots. Gamers who make it through the entire game will unlock a Director’s Cut, which gives you a different path through the game, revealing different goodies that weren’t seen the first time through.

Now Here are Your Cheat Codes for The House of the Dead: Overkill for Wii:

Battle on multiple fronts against ruthless new enemies, some never-before-seen in a COD game. Cinematic visuals are here, along with improved squad-based multiplayer. But World at War truly makes its mark with the addition of co-op play for the first time in Call of Duty history. Coordinate two-player assaults on local split-screens.

Call of Duty has been developed thinking of the potential of the Nintendo console, being better than the thrid installment of the franchise. The atmosphere is amazing with brilliant audiovisual components. It’s a great experience in the campaign mode but the multiplayer is limited, but it’s the best World War II shooter for Wii.

Unfortunately, co-op multiplayer and the Zombie Mode didn’t make the cut. World At War on the Wii ends up a distant second to the PS3 and 360 versions, but it’s still a fun shooter.

Call of Duty: World at War is a first-person shooter and the latest installment in the Call of Duty video game series for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Wii, PlayStation 2, DS, and PC. Moving back from the modern setting of CoD4, World at War is set in the Pacific theater and Eastern front of World War II. The violence is off the charts: this is a vision of World War II you’ve never seen before! Gone are gritty gray colors and sanitized violence. In its place are vibrant hues, gushing gore, and intense language. World at War will also expand upon Call of Duty 4’s award-winning online multiplayer with new modes, drivable vehicles, and a host of lethal WWII-era weapons (including a flamethrower, the Tommy gun, and the world’s first true assault rifle).

Activision currently hold the top spot for best selling third party Wii titles and this is a reason why. Despite the limitations of the Wii that some developers are treating like a reason to slap together inferior ports (I’m looking at you EA), Activision is setting a new bar for developers by trying their best to give the Wii a game that can stand up to the HD counterparts.

First of all, Call of Duty: World at War will support use of the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection for online death matches. According to the source, the Wii version will feature the same maps, vehicles, and modes as the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the game. A new 2-player mode called “Squad Mate Mode”, lets 2 players co-operate by adding another set of cross-hairs to the screen, allowing 2 players to shoot.

Another somewhat exciting detail is that the same engine for the HD editions will be used on the Wii version to, which means the game will look very pretty. Activision has also revealed that due to some technical constraints for the Wii in terms of shading effects, they have needed to tinker with the hardware to get the game to look just right on the Wii, which shows they are dedicated to making the Wii version look as good as possible. In addition, explosions and other special effects are said to look identical on all versions of the game without any frame rate drops.

After getting passed over by 2007’s stellar Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, Wii owners get their first shot at the revitalized series with Call of Duty: World at War. Though World at War treads the familiar ground of World War II, the detailed, realistic locations and dramatic story elements make this trip to the past feel fresh. The remote and Nunchuk perform admirably in combat, despite a few missteps, and the well-tuned weapons make firefights intense and satisfying. Add in the engaging multiplayer system that made Modern Warfare a smash hit, and you’ve got one of the best shooters available for the Wii.

There are a number of great components in Call of Duty: World at War, but none of them would work without the fully capable control scheme. You move with the analog stick and aim by pointing the remote. As a handy aid to newcomers and veterans alike, there are plenty of options to tweak various sensitivities and movement speeds. In the default control scheme, you pull the B trigger to fire and use the Z button to look down your sights, which is a crucially important ability, especially in multiplayer. The C button toggles your stance, and the A button lets you sprint or, when stationary or strafing, lock the camera for steadier aiming. There are a number of slightly tweaked alternate control schemes, including a Wii Zapper mode that, if you can endure the frequent twisting it requires, is actually pretty fun.

The default controls feel balanced and well-mapped, but there are a few hang-ups. The fast and deadly melee attack is performed by shaking the Wii Remote or hitting down on the D pad. Unfortunately, shaking will shift your aim abruptly, often causing you to miss your target. The D pad is the better option, but melee attacks will still tend to go astray more often than they should. The D pad is also used for switching weapons, so resting your thumb in the A-button/D-pad area is generally advisable. Unfortunately, grenades are mapped to the + button, and shifting your thumb halfway down the remote can be awkward. It’s a minor inconvenience, though, and all things considered, World at War’s control scheme is well-suited for the rigors of war.

The game itself is okay. I thought it was going to be worse, Thats why I gave it the score I did. Honesty though, I didn’t pay too much attention to the single-player story. What I love most about this game, is Nazi Zombies. There’s something so satisfying about killing massive amounts of nazi zombies, Unlocking doors, and buying random weapons. It’s really addicting and I would rather do nothing else than just sit and play nazi zombies for an hour. So, If you don’t want to buy this game for the single player, certainly get it because of the nazi zombies feature.

Call of Duty: World at War re-creates history while making some of is own.
Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare reinvigorated a series that some were claiming was starting to get stale. Gamers were subsequently shocked when Activision announced that the next entry, Call of Duty: World at War, would be going back to World War II. But it looks like those fears were unfounded. Building on Infinity Ward’s masterpiece, with World at War, Treyarch delivers a stunning, epic, and chaotic experience that may very well be the best Call of Duty yet. Considering that Modern Warfare was considered one of the best games of the current generation, that’s quite a statement. The game certainly shines on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 but the Wii effort is a stellar game in its own right.

World at War focuses on the Pacific and Russian fronts of World War II compared to the more standard German front commonly found in WWII games. You’ll experience first-hand the sometimes horrific nature of the Japanese offense, and veracity with which the Russian army fought at Stalingrad. The enemies in the game will do whatever it takes to take you down. This means that they’ll attempt to swarm you around corners by hiding in bushes, charge at you without regard for your life or theirs, and play dead to set up an ambush. Epic (and scripted) gunfights have been a stable of the series since its inception but World at War ratchets up the intensity considerably. Treyarch did a great job of making the game as fun and intense as its other counterparts, despite the relative lack of hardware strength on the Wii.

The games core singleplayer experience, which features the same levels and story as the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions, clocks in at around five hours–about the same length as Modern Warfare’s campaign. The campaign does an amazing job of delivering a varied experience where you’ll not only take on enemies in firefights, but also go on a sniper mission or man an aircraft. The story is impressively told, though it doesn’t have the twists we found in the last Call of Duty game, largely because the outcome of World War II is largely known. However, the game does a good job of capturing the wars major battles.

Shoot Perfect Gun makes it easy to be a shooting superstar. With a traditional, one-handed, pistol-like grip, Perfect Shot will really get you into the action. It features an aiming sight that increases accuracy and a tactile trigger that activates the “B” button.

Shoot Perfect Gun also has an accessory pass-through port for use with other attachments. Enhance your gaming fun and stay sharp through every challenge.

Building on the Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare engine, Call of Duty: World at War immerses players into the most gritty and chaotic WWII combat ever experienced. Players band together to survive the most harrowing and climactic battles of WWII that led to the demise of the Axis powers on the European and Pacific fronts. The title offers an uncensored experience with unique enemies and combat variety, including Kamikaze fighters, ambush attacks, Banzai charges and cunning cover tactics. Experience addictive class-based multiplayer action as well as the Squadmate Mode, Combat-Look technology, and full Wii Zapper support.

With the World at War, Activision’s veteran military first-person shooter series heeds a call to return to its WWII roots. Built on the Call of Duty 4 game engine, World at War aims to bring Modern Warfare’s state-of-the-art graphics, interactive battlefield environments, unflinching “M”-rated presentation, and sophisticated online multiplayer options back to the World War II setting in which the series earned its stripes. As (at least) the fourth original console and home computer Call of Duty title set during World War II, World at War offers an expanded selection of era-authentic infantry and vehicle weapons, as well as the tactics that go with them, such as using flamethrowers to burn away camouflaging cover and expose hidden enemies. For the first time in the franchise, co-operative multiplayer gaming is strongly supported, with team-up options for two players to play through the main campaign in split-screen mode, or for as many as four to play together online. The Wii edition of the game features special support for the Zapper gunstock accessory.

Call of Duty: World at War is set in the Pacific Theater and in Europe, near the end of the war. In the single-player campaigns, players take the role of a United States Marine or a Russian infantry soldier, and face an onslaught of deadly new techniques, including brutal guerrilla warfare and kamikaze attacks. In online multiplayer games, an increased emphasis on squad tactics in chaotic, bombed-out environments makes coordinated teamwork the deadliest weapon of all.

Building on the Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare engine, Call of Duty: World at War thrusts players into the ruthless and gritty chaos of WWII combat like never before and challenges them to band together to survive the most harrowing and climactic battles in both the European and Pacific theaters. The title re-defines WWII games by offering an uncensored experience with unique enemies, jaw-dropping fire power like the flamethrower, and combat variety, including Kamikaze fighters, ambush attacks, Banzai charges and cunning tactics, as well as explosive on-screen action through all new cooperative gameplay.

Multiplayer: Call of Duty: World at War will support intense, online multiplayer action using the Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare engine. Bringing multiplayer to the Wii for the first time in the Call of Duty franchise, players will be able battle it out in a variety of game types, plus upgrade and customise characters by using perks and completing challenges.

Squadmate: This cooperative mode lets players team up to play alongside friends and family. At any moment, a second Wii Remote can be activated, giving the second player their own aiming crosshair to provide cover and added firepower while fighting alongside their Squadmate.

Extra ammunition
Use the following trick if run out or are running low on ammunition on any mission in Solo mode on any difficulty. Find a non-essential teammate (someone not involved in the story line). Walk up to him, and aim the reticule next to his head or torso. Knife the air, and as you do so move slightly towards them so that the reticule is over them. If done correctly, he should die and drop his weapon. Non-essential teammates will get replaced when you walk into a battle. If the teammate does not die but keeps getting back up, they are essential to the story (for example, Sgt. Roebuck and Sgt. Rezenov).
